Israeli Forces and Settlers Launch Coordinated Raids Across West Bank

JERUSALEM — Israeli military forces conducted widespread raids across multiple areas of the occupied West Bank on Monday, resulting in numerous Palestinian detentions, while armed settler groups simultaneously targeted homes and vehicles south of Nablus. The coordinated operations marked a significant escalation in activity throughout the territory early in the morning hours.

The military incursions spanned from Jenin to Jericho, involving heavy armored units and infantry troops entering villages and refugee camps without prior notice. In the northern governorate of Jenin, forces entered Qabatiya, Fahma, and Kafr Ra'i. Operations extended into Tulkarm district, where soldiers moved through Bal'a and Deir al-Ghusun, as well as Tubas, targeting residents in the al-Far'a refugee camp.

Further south, troops operated in Qalqilya governorate, entering Azzun, Kafr Saba, and Zaid. In Hebron (Al-Khalil), military units entered both the al-Fawwar refugee camp and Tarqumiya village before moving to Jericho for additional searches.

Palestinian residents reported that soldiers broke down doors in residential compounds, conducted house-to-house sweeps, and detained dozens of men during the operations. Local officials stated that many detainees were taken into custody without immediate explanation or access to legal counsel. The military did not release an official casualty count or list of names immediately following the raids.

Simultaneously with the military movements in other districts, groups of illegal Israeli settlers launched attacks against Palestinian property south of Nablus. Witnesses described settler vehicles blocking roads and individuals throwing stones at homes before setting fire to agricultural equipment and damaging private cars. The violence occurred as residents attempted to leave their properties for work or school.

Israeli security forces were present in the area but did not immediately intervene to stop the settler attacks, according to local observers on the ground. Military spokespeople have yet to comment specifically on the nature of the coordinated timing between the official raids and the civilian-led assaults.

The motive behind the simultaneous operations remains unclear. No specific intelligence or security justification has been publicly released by Israeli authorities regarding the targets selected in Jenin, Tulkarm, Tubas, Qalqilya, Hebron, or Jericho. Palestinian officials have condemned the actions as collective punishment and a violation of international law.
